Measure the onset and reversal of ER stress in living cells. Detect stress responses resulting from chemical stressors, genetic stressors, and more. Monitor living cells over time with no need to lyse or fix, ideal for pre-apoptosis studies or to examine compounds that reverse the stress response. The bright mNeongreen fluorescent protein is produced when cells are undergoing ER stress, while the constitutively expressed Montana Painbrush RFP provides a marker for sensor expression and cell health. Measure green-only or green/red ratios with high signal-to-noise on plate readers or fluorescence imaging systems with standard green and red detection settings. Packaged in Montana Moleculars Big Sky BacMam vector for enhanced expression in cell lines, primary cultures, and iPSCs. The 5mL volume yields 4-5 plates in HEK293T cells.
