WM1963 is a human melanoma cell line that displays a melanocytic morphology and was established from a tissue sample of a 56-year-old male patient. This cell line contains a N581S mutation in BRAF gene resulting in an amino acid substitution from asparagine to serine at codon 581 (Asn581Ser) and A146T mutation in N-RAS gene resulting in a substitution of alanine with threonine at codon 146 (Ala146Thr). WM1963 cells produce xenograft tumors when injected into immunocompromised mice.
