WM209 is a metastatic human melanoma cell line that forms flat tight colonies in culture medium. This cell line contains a G12A mutation at position 12 of the N-RAS gene. This cell line also expresses PTEN loss of function including homozygous deletion and is wild type for BRAF, c-KIT and CDK4. WM209 cells produce xenograft tumors when injected into immunocompromised mice.
