| TargetMols GFP Tag Nanobody Immunoprecipitation Magnetic Beads can specifically bind to GFP-tagged proteins and are suitable for immunoprecipitation (IP) of proteins, protein complexes, protein-nucleic acid complexes, and other antigens. This product can be used with antigen samples derived from cell lysates, cell culture supernatants, serum, ascites, and more. Nanobodies are variable domain fragments (VHH) derived from the natural heavy-chain antibodies of camelid species (such as camels and alpacas). They represent the smallest known natural functional antibody unit, typically about 12-15 kDa-roughly one-tenth the size of conventional IgG antibodies. Compared with traditional IgG antibodies, nanobodies are smaller in size, exhibit higher affinity, and avoid interference from heavy and light chains. They can access epitopes on target proteins more closely, reduce steric hindrance, are less likely to dissociate, and allow gentle elution conditions, thereby preserving higher biological activity of the samples. |
