PAA-38 is an effective and selective inhibitor targeting bacterial prolyl-tRNA synthetase (ProRS). It inhibits Pseudomonas aeruginosa ProRS (PaProRS) with a Kd of 0.399 nM and an IC50 of 4.97 nM. The IC50 for human cytoplasmic ProRS (HsProRS) is 35.5 nM. In vitro, PAA-38 exhibits a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of 4-8 µg/mL.
