alpha-Glucosidase-IN-88 (Compound 3K) is an orally active and potent alpha-glucosidase inhibitor with an IC50 value of 6.40 µM. It reduces postprandial blood glucose levels by inhibiting the hydrolysis of carbohydrates, preventing the enzyme from breaking glycosidic bonds. alpha-Glucosidase-IN-88 shows potential for research in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM).
