FITC-PEG-N3 (MW 1000) is a fluorescent azide dye consisting of polyethylene glycol (PEG) and FITC. As a click chemistry reagent, it features an azide group that participates in copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with alkynyl-containing molecules. Additionally, it undergoes strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
