PSEC13 is an activator of the HSF-1/DAF-16 axis. It upregulates heat shock proteins and can form hydrogen bonds with key residues at the active site of HSP-16.2. By regulating HSP-16.2, PSEC13 enhances protein homeostasis and extends lifespan. It also promotes the nuclear translocation of daf-16, increasing the proportion of intermediates. PSEC13 is applicable for research on aging and age-related diseases.
