AChE-IN-90 (Compound 5b) is an orally active, brain-penetrant, and potent acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 0.023 µM against human AChE. It shows lower selectivity for butyrylcholinesterase (BuChE) with an IC50 of 1.8 µM. AChE-IN-90 increases acetylcholine levels in synaptic clefts and holds potential for research in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimers disease.
