Topobexin (Topobexin 9) is a highly selective TOP2B inhibitor. It selectively inhibits TOP2B in vitro and stabilizes TOP2B on DNA. Topobexin offers significant protection to cardiomyocytes against DAU-induced damage. In rabbit models, Topobexin prevents anthracycline-induced cardiotoxicity and the decrease in left ventricular contractile function caused by DAU.
