MC3935 (Compound 19) is an LSD1 inhibitor with an IC50 of 0.52 µM for the LSD1-CoREST enzyme complex. It shows significant antischistosomal activity against newly transformed schistosomula (NTS) and adult Schistosoma mansoni, although its onset of action is delayed against larvae. MC3935 exhibits no significant toxicity to human cells and is useful for schistosomiasis research.
