Elsunersen sodium is an antisense oligonucleotide that selectively reduces the expression of the SCN2A gene. It is used in the study of SCN2A developmental and epileptic encephalopathy (SCN2A-DEE), a severe and life-threatening monogenic epilepsy disorder caused by variations in the SCN2A gene.
