These hormones (AKHs) regulate the mobilization of carbohydrates and lipids from fat body reserves for flight by activating AKH receptor(s) that stimulate cAMP production and glycogen phosphorylase through the stimulatory guanine nucleotide-binding protein (Gs) [1] [3].
