BODIPY FL DHPE, a green-fluorescent phospholipid probe, specifically targets and labels the lipid 1,2-dihexadecanoyl-sn-glycero-phosphoethanolamine (DHPE). When labeled, these liposomes can subsequently be internalized through membrane fusion. This compound is particularly useful for studying both membrane surfaces and the process of membrane fusion.
