Produktbeschreibung

Fosmidomycin is an orally administered antibiotic that demonstrates antimalarial properties by inhibiting 1-deoxy-D-xylulose 5-phosphate (DOXP) reductoisomerase. It effectively inhibits the P. falciparum strains 3D7, HB3, Dd2, and A2, with IC 50 values of 150, 71, 170, and 150 ng/mL, respectively. Fosmidomycin works synergistically with Clindamycin and alleviates malaria in a mouse model.
