Compound 7, also known as RAR/RXR agonist-1, is a chlorinated isomer of retinoic acid and acts as a selective RARalpha agonist and a partial RXRalpha agonist. It is capable of activating RXRalpha, thereby inducing G2/M arrest and apoptosis in cancer cells.
