Alkyne-PEG-NH2 (MW 2000) is an alkyne-functionalized bifunctional PEG derivative that can be utilized for modifying proteins, peptides, and other materials. The alkyne group can react with azides in an aqueous solution catalyzed by copper. Polyethylene glycolation can enhance solubility and stability while reducing the immunogenicity of peptides and proteins.
