Silane-PEG-N3 (MW 1000) (Silane-PEG-azide (MW 1000)) is a PEG derivative composed of silane, PEG units, and an azide group. It can modify surfaces like glass, silicon, or others by reacting its hydroxyl group with ethoxy (methoxy) silane. Featuring azide groups, Silane-PEG-N3 (MW 1000) can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing alkyne groups. Additionally, it can participate in strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules bearing DBCO or BCN groups.
