Silane-PEG-N3 (MW 600) (Silane-PEG-azide (MW 600)) is a PEG derivative comprising Silane, PEG units, and azide groups. It can modify glass, silicon, or other surfaces via the reaction between hydroxyl groups and ethoxy (methoxy) silane. The azide groups in Silane-PEG-N3 enable copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC) with molecules containing alkyne groups and strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
