The azide group can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAc) with molecules containing alkyne groups. Additionally, it can participate in strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules that have DBCO or BCN groups.
