TCEP-d16(hydrochloride) is the deuterated form of TCEP hydrochloride. TCEP hydrochloride [Tris(2-carboxyethyl)phosphine hydrochloride] is a non-thiol reducing agent that offers greater stability and induces faster S-S bond reduction compared to other chemical reducing agents. As a trialkylphosphine, it selectively reduces protein degradation without altering their characteristics or interacting with thiol-directing agents in the reaction mixture. Additionally, TCEP hydrochloride is frequently used as a reducing agent in DNA/AuNP chemistry.
