Octopamine-d4 (hydrochloride) is the deuterated form of Octopamine hydrochloride. Octopamine (()-p-Octopamine) hydrochloride is a bioamine structurally related to noradrenaline, functioning as a neurohormone, neuromodulator, and neurotransmitter in invertebrates. It stimulates Chinese hamster ovary cells transfected with human alpha2-adrenergic receptors (alpha2-ARs). Additionally, Octopamine hydrochloride enhances glycogenolysis, glycolysis, oxygen consumption, gluconeogenesis, and portal perfusion pressure.
