RWmix is a synthetic cell-penetrating peptide. Its secondary amphiphilic nature enhances cellular uptake, primarily due to the alternating sequence of arginine and tryptophan. The presence of tryptophan improves the peptides anchoring to the cell membrane, thereby increasing its ability to penetrate the membrane. RWmix is applicable in gene therapy and siRNA delivery research.
