SpikeGlycoprotein(1147-1162) is a linear broad-spectrum neutralizing peptide found in the SARS-CoV-2 S2 protein. This peptide is conserved across SARS-CoV, BatCoV RaTG13, SARS-CoV-2, and its variants. The monoclonal antibody (mAb) targeting SpikeGlycoprotein(1147-1162) can neutralize SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV by preventing the virus from fusing with the cell membrane. SpikeGlycoprotein(1147-1162) is useful for research into universal vaccines against SARS-CoV-2 variants.
