Ubiquitin thiolesterase UCHL1 (EC 3.1.2.15) is part of the ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase family and functions as a deubiquitinating enzyme. UCHL1 acts both as a ubiquitin ligase and a monoubiquitin stabilizer.
