Z-VEID-AFC TFA is the trifluoroacetic acid salt form of Z-VEID-AFC. It serves as a fluorescent substrate for caspase-6. Upon cleavage by the caspase-6 enzyme, Z-VEID-AFC TFA releases 7-amino-4-trifluoromethylcoumarin (AFC), whose fluorescence can be used to quantitatively measure caspase-6 activity (Ex/Em: 400/505 nm).
