HDDC3, contains an active site for ppGpp hydrolysis and a conserved His-Asp-box motif for Mn(2+) binding. Consistent with these structural data, HDDC3 efficiently catalyzes hydrolysis of guanosine 3,5-diphosphate (ppGpp) both in vitro and in vivo. HDDC3 also suppresses SpoT-deficient lethality and RelA-induced delayed cell growth in bacteria. Source: Recombinant corresponding to aa1-140 from human HDDC3, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E.coli. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
