ACE-2, also known as angiotensin-converting enzyme 2, is carboxypeptidase which converts angiotensin I to angiotensin 1-9, a peptide of unknown function, and angiotensin II to angiotensin 1-7, a vasodilator. It is able to hydrolyze apelin-13 and dynorphin-13 with high efficiency and may be an important regulator of heart function. Recombinant rat ACE-2, fused to His-Tag at C-terminal, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE, Enzyme Activity. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
