For the quantitative determination of human procollagen type III in serum. Sensitivity: 25ng/ml Detection Range: 25-300ng/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human HPCIII. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human HPCIII and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Antibody specific for HPCIII has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with antibody specific for HPCIII. Any HPCIII present is bound by the antibody. After washing, goat-anti-rabbit IgG antibody conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of HPCIII bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components: Microtiter Strips, 1x96 wells Standard, 5x0.5ml Antibody, 1x5ml HRP-conjugate, 1x10ml Substrate A, 1x5ml Substrate B, 1x5ml Wash Buffer (25X), 1x20ml Storage and Stability: Store all kit components at 4C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
