Sensitivity: 3.125pg/ml Detection Range: 2.5-200pg/ml Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of chicken IFN-beta. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between chicken IFN-beta and analogues was observed. Assay Principle: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with goat-anti-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific for IFN-beta and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated IFN-beta. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled IFN-beta and unlabeled IFN-beta with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of IFN-beta in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
