ACAA1 (acetylCoenzyme A acyltransferase 1), catalyzes the conversion of acyl-CoA and acetyl-CoA to 3-oxoacyl-CoA in the fatty acid oxidation pathway. Deficiency of this enzyme can lead to pseudo-Zellweger syndrome. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence and Western Blot. Other applications not tested.
