Partial recombinant corresponding to aa133-243 from CASP14 (NP_036246) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
CASP14 is a member of the cysteine-aspartic acid protease (caspase) family. Sequential activation of caspases plays a central role in the execution-phase of cell apoptosis. Caspases exist as inactive proenzymes which undergo proteolytic processing at conserved aspartic residues to produce two subunits, large and small, that dimerize to form the active enzyme. This caspase has been shown to be processed and activated by caspase 8 and caspase 10 in vitro, and by anti-Fas agonist antibody or TNF-related apoptosis inducing ligand in vivo. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, FLISA and Western Blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 15ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. AA Sequence: RGEQRDPGETVGGDEIVMVIKDSPQTIPTYTDALHVYSTVEGYIAYRHDQKGSCFIQTLVDVFTKRKGHILELLTEVTRRMAEAELVQEGKARKTNPEIQSTLRKRLYLQ* Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
