Immunogen: Partial recombinant corresponding to aa68-164 from human DUT (AAH33645) with GST tag. MW of the GST tag alone is 26kD.
Deoxyuridine triphosphate nucleotidohydrolase (dUTPase) is a ubiquitous enzyme that functions in the hydrolysis of dUTP to dUMP and pyrophosphate. Canman and co-workers have demonstrated that, in certain human tumor cell lines, increased levels of dUTPase are responsible for an increase in resistance to the cancer chemotherapeutic agent fluorodeoxyuridine (FUdR), a thymidine synthase inhibitor. Two distinct forms of dUTPase exist in humans. Cellular fractionation experiments suggest that the more abundant, lower mass form of dUTPase (DUT-N) localizes in the nucleus, while the higher mass form (DUT-M) is associated with the mitochondria. Applications: Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, FLISA, Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml Immunohistochemistry (Formalin fixed paraffin embedded): 1ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. AA Sequence: TDIQIALPSGCYGRVAPRSGLAAKHFIDVGAGVIDEDYRGNVGVVLFNFGKEKFEVKKGDRIAQLICERIFYPEIEEVQALDDTERGSGGFGSTGKN Storage and Stability: Store product at 4C if to be used immediately within two weeks. For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -20C. Aliquots are stable at -20C for 12 months after receipt. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: FITC conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: Applications are based on unconjugated antibody.
