A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence (aa1388-406: KLRETNAGRCDTRQQYRKL) at the C-terminus of human PTH1R, identical to the related mouse and rat sequences.
Parathyroid hormone/parathyroid hormone-related peptide receptor, also known as PTH1R, PTHR, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the PTH1R gene. PTHR is a member of a family of G protein-coupled receptors. PTHR gene was mapped to the vicinity of the 3p21.3-p21.2 boundary by PCR analysis of human/rodent somatic cell hybrid panels using oligonucleotide primers designed to amplify a portion of the gene from genomic DNA. This is a receptor for parathyroid hormone and for parathyroid hormone-related peptide. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylyl cyclase and also a phosphatidylinositol-calcium second messenger system. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry (paraffin) and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized and reconstituted products are stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
