Produktbeschreibung

Skeletal muscle Myosin or myosin II is the motor protein that generates force to drive muscle contraction. It is a 520kD hexamer comprised of two heavy chains and four light chains. Myosin heavy chain is 220kD in size and consists of a long coiledcoil domain tail that mediates dimerization of the two heavy chains and a globular head region that mediates ATPdependent sliding of actin filaments. Myosin heavy chain can be proteolytically cleaved to produce heavy meromyosin, which includes the S1 motor domain (head region) and first third of the coiled coil domain, and light meromyosin, which includes the Cterminal two thirds of the coiled coil domain. Applications: Suitable for use in Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Immunocytochemistry: 8-25ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 5-25ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile PBS. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 12 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
