Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to aa3-14 from human AP2A1 and AP2A2. Species Sequence Homology: chimpanzee, orangutan, mouse, rat, chicken and canine.
The AP2A1 and AP2A2 represent the AP2-a proteins that are found in the AP2 complex in clathrin-coated vesicles. AP2A is also known as A-adaptin A, Adaptor protein complex AP-2 a-1 subunit, Clathrin assembly protein complex 2a-A large chain, 100kD coated vesicle protein A and plasma membrane adaptor HA2/AP2 adaptin a A subunit. The AP2 complex is a heterotetramer consisting of two large adaptins (a or b), a medium adaptin (mu), and a small adaptin (sigma). The complex is part of the protein coat on the cytoplasmic face of coated vesicles, which link clathrin to receptors in vesicles. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: 1:5000-1:20,000 Western Blot: 1:500-1:2000 Immunoprecipitation: 1:100 Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 12 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
