Antibiotic. DNA helicase inhibitor. Inhibits the DNA helicase activity of the human minichromosome maintenance (MCM) 4/6/7 complex. Topoisomerase I and II inhibitor (weaker than DNA helicase). DNA and RNA synthesis inhibitor in cell culture. Does not inhibit protein synthesis. Induces cell cycle arrest. Anticancer compound. Antibacterial against Gram-positive bacteria. CAS No.: 178182-49-5 Source: Streptomyces sp. MJ929-SF2. Molecular Formula: C33H30O17 Solubility: DMSO, ethanol, chloroform or ethyl acetate. Insoluble in H2O or n-hexane. Molecular Weight: 698.6 Appearance: Red powder Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
