A potent, selective and systemically active positive allosteric modulator for mGlu7 receptor (EC50 = 64-290nM). One of the most frequently used agent for assessing the functional roles of mGlu7 receptors in a variety of brain functions (i.e. sleep pattern, learning and memory, and locomotion) and disorders (i.e. depression, anxiety, and Parkinsons disease). Induces internalization of mGlu7 receptors. Also acts onnMDA, AMPA, 5-HT receptors and norepinephrine transporter. CAS Number: 97075-46-2 Formula: C28H28N2 2HCl Solubility: DMSO Primary Target: mGlu7 receptors Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
