A potent antagonist for NMDA receptors. Modestly higher selectivity for the NR2A than for the NR2B containing NMDA receptors (IC50 = 0.015 and 0.078uM) but insufficient to discriminate between NR2A and NR2B-containing NMDA receptors. Widely used for researches in synaptic plastic, learning and memory, and epilepsy. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20C. Stable for 12 months at -20C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or dH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
