The Abscisic Acid, Hormone (ABA), BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit is a competitive ELISA intended for the quantitative determination of ABA in plant tissues. Detection Range: 0.156-10ug/ml Sensitivity: <0.04ug/ml Precision: Intra-assay Precision: CV <10% Inter-assay Precision: CV <20% Specificity: Cross reaction rate: Abscisic acid: 100%, Gibberellin and Indoleacetic acid: <0.01% Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate has been pre-coated with ABA. Standards and samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with an antibody specific to ABA. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between the pre-coated ABA and ABA in samples with the antibody. Then an IgG (HRP) goat anti-rabbit antibody is added. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops inversely to the amount of ABA in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Wear eye, hand, face, and clothing protection when using this material. Storage and Stability: Store kit at 4C. The unopended kit is stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable up to 4 weeks at 4C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
