The Estradiol (E2), BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit is a competitive ELISA intended for the quantitative determination of E2 in mouse serum and plasma. Detection Range: 40-1000pg/ml Sensitivity: 40pg/ml Precision: Intra-assay Precision: CV <15% Inter-assay Precision: CV <15% Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of mouse E2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between mouse E2 and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the crossreactivity detection between mouse E2 and all the analogs. Therefore, crossreaction may still exist. Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with gaot ant-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with E2 specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated E2. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between HRP labeled E2 and unlabeled E2 with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of E2 in the standards or samples. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Kit Components: 227642A: Microtiter Strips, 1x96 wells. Wear eye, hand, face, and clothing protection when using this material. Storage and Stability: Store all kit components at 4C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
