The Hepatitis B Virus E Antigen (HBeAg) ELISA Kit is a qualitative in vitro enzyme immunoassay for the detection of HBeAg in human serum or plasma. Principle of the Test: This BioAssay(TM) employs the qualitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with HBeAb. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated HBeAb. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of HBeAg bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human HBeAg. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human HBeAg and analogues was observed. Note: Limited by current skills and knowledge, it is impossible for us to complete the crossreactivity detection between human HBeAg and all the analogs. Therefore, crossreaction may still exist. Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) %CV: <15% Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess. Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) %CV: <20% Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess. Wear eye, hand, face, and clothing protection when using this material. Storage and Stability: Store kit at 4C. The unopended kit is stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable up to one month at 4C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
