The Papillomavirus Type 16 (HPV16) Antibody, IgM, BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit is for the qualitative determination of human papillomavirus type 16 (HPV16) antibody (IgM) concentrations in serum and plasma. Principle of the Assay: This ELISA Kit employs the qualitative enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with human HPV16. Samples are pipetted into the wells and anti-human IgM (HRP). Any antibodies specific for the antigen present will bind to the pre-coated antigen. Following a wash to remove any unbound reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to amount of human HPV16 antibody (IgM) bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of human HPV16 antibody (IgM). No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human HPV16 antibody (IgM) and analogues was observed. Precision: Intra-assay: CV <15% Inter-assay: CV <15% Kit Components: 227852A: Microtiter Strips, 1x48 wells or 1x96 wells.
