The Testosterone (T), BioAssay(TM) ELISA Kit is a competitive ELISA intended for the quantitative determination of Testosterone in porcine serum, plasma and tissue homogenates. Detection Range: 0.10-20ng/ml Sensitivity: 0.05ng/ml Precision: Intra-assay Precision: CV <15% Inter-assay Precision: CV <15% Specificity: This assay has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of porcine testosterone. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between porcine testosterone and analogues was observed. Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with gaot ant-rabbit antibody. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with testosterone specific antibody and Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugated testosterone. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between HRP labeled testosterone and unlabeled testosterone with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of testosterone in the standards or samples. Wear eye, hand, face, and clothing protection when using this material. Storage and Stability: Store all kit components at 4C. Stable for 6 months after receipt. Once opened, the kit is stable for 1 month providing this is within the expiration date of the kit. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
