This chemical has been shown to be effective against herpes virus, pox virus and HIV. N6-Benzoyl-9-(2-deoxy-5-O-DMT-2-fluoro-b-D-arabinofuranosyl)adenine 3-CE phosphoramidite is a novel nucleotide analogue that contains a modified deoxyribose sugar backbone. It has been shown to be active against cancer cells in vitro, but not in vivo.
