A large family of ATPases has been described, whose key feature is that they share a conserved region of about 220 amino acids that contains an ATP-binding site. The proteins that belong to this family either contain one or two AAA (ATPases Associated with diverse cellular Activities) domains. AAA family proteins often perform chaperone-like functions that assist in the assembly, operation, or disassembly of protein complexes. The protein encoded by this gene contains two AAA domains, as well as a bromodomain. [provided by RefSeq, Jul 2008]. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa981-1108 from human Bromodomain ATAD2A, fused to His-tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~16.2kD AA Sequence: MHHHHHHQEEDTFRELRIFLRNVTHRLAIDKRFRVFTKPVDPDEVPDYVTVIKQPMDLS SVISKIDLHKYLTVKDYLRDIDLICSNALEYNPDRDPGDRLIRHRACALRDTAYAIIKEELD EDFEQLCEEIQESR Applications: Suitable for use in the study of bromodomain binding assays, screening inhibitors, and selectivity profiling. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap.
