NMT2, also known as glycylpeptide N-tetradecan-oyltransferases 2, is cytoplasmic protein that belong to the NMT family of proteins. The proteins in this familiy catalyze the addition of a myristoyl group to the N-terminal glycine residue of eukaryotic, fungal and viral proteins. They are primarily detected in heart, gut, kidney, liver and placenta. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-498 of human NMT2, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~59.1kD Applications: Suitable for use in SDS-PAGE. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher.
