SuLT1C2, also known as Sulfotransferase 1C2, is a sulfotransferase1 superfamily. It catalyzes the transfer of sulfate from PAPS (3-phosphoadenosine-5-phosphosulfate) to phenol-containing compounds, including hormones and neurotransmitters. Two isoforms of SuLT1C2 designated short and long, exist as a result of alternative splicing events. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-296 of human SuLT1C2, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli.
