uBE2F, also Known as ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 F, belongs to the ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme family and uBE2F subfamily. ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes more rarely as ubiquitin-carrier enzymes, perform the second step in the ubiquitination reaction that targets a protein for degradation via the proteasome. uBE2F accepts the ubiquitin-like protein NEDD8 from the uBA3- NAE1 E1 complex and catalyzes its covalent attachment to other proteins. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-185 of human uBE2F, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli.
