RALB, also called Ras-related protein Ral-B, belongs to subfamily of Ras-related GTPases. This protein is activated by a unique nucleotide exchange factor, Ral GDS, and deactivated by a distinct GTPase- activating protein. It plays a role in the late stages of cytokinesis and is required for the abscission of the bridge joining the sister cells emerging from mitosis. Also it is required for suppression of apoptosis. Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-203 from human RALB, fused to His-tag at N-terminal expressed in E. coli. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
